Amsterdam Canal Ring In 1871, Monet moved to Zaandam and made visits to Amsterdam. He depicted several sights in his paintings, like in "Montelbaanstoren and Oude Schans" and several paintings of the Amsterdam canals, like the Geldersekade and the Onbekendegracht.
Paris, Banks of the Seine Monet was born in Paris and lived in the city several times during his lifetime. In 1860, he enroled in the Académie Suisse, situated on the Île de la Cité. During his lifetime, he made several paintings of the Tuileries and the quays and bridges (e.g. Pont Neuf) along the Seine.
Venice and its Lagoon In 1908, Monet visited Venice and made several paintings of the city, depicting, among others, the Doge's Palace and the Grand Canal.
Westminster Monet visited London several times and depicted the Palace of Westminster, which he devoted a series of paintings to.
